Ana Gonzales bio
Ana Gonzalez de Jorgenson is a Mexican musician who was born into a family of musicians. Growing up, she listened to many classical music and old boleros. In addition, she was a fan of the traditional romance ballads as well as ranchero. Ana enjoys tangos and opera and dramatic performances. Ana began to learn how to play and sing at an early age together with her mom. She received more formal vocal training when she was 16 years old under the famous Mexican Tenor Flavio BECARRA. In the School of Music of Guadalajara University and the School of Sacred Music of Toluca in Mexico continued her music education. The singer performed at Guadalajara, Mexico City and other cities as a young musician and student. Following her move to the United States, she performed as a member of the Fort Lauderdale Symphony Chorus. Then in 2002 she moved to Southern California. She is a frequent soloist at private parties and events singing traditional Latin American Music. In addition to being an instructor and performer in the local area and instructor, her passion for art and music has her active in a variety of initiatives. Ana was a former member of Community Chorus of Redlands (as being a member of the Inland Master Chorale) and Performance Loft. Ana hopes that with her performance her love of Latin American traditional songs, that she will bring about a desire, specifically among the younger generation, for keeping this music vibrant.
